Perfect binding does not use threads or saddle stitch
staples but applies an adhesive to the spine of
gathered pages to make them bound securely. It is
often used in the binding of monthly publications.
Sewn perfect binding: Sewn perfect binding is
a binding option where books are sewn with thread
before binding. More specifically, the backs of
the well-gathered inner pages are sewn together
with thread before the sewn book is inserted into
a cover.
